The Department of Artificial Intelligence was created in 2022. The tasks of the new department are to train qualified specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, who will be powerful developers in the areas of intelligent data processing, creation of new image processing systems, diagnostic systems, especially medical, intelligent systems in military affairs, etc.
Experts known in the world and in Ukraine work at the department, for example, Viktor Syneglazov, Doctor of Science, professor, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, laureate of international awards, who is the head of the artificial intelligence laboratory at the V. M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences, is currently working on the creation of the Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Ukraine.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence is responsible for the educational and professional program "Systems and Methods of Artificial Intelligence" (master's and bachelor's degrees).
The Department of Artificial Intelligence actively works with leading scientific organizations, such as the V. M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences, the ESC “World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development”, etc.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence is interested in attracting talented young people to the global research community, who care about Ukraine's place in the world ranking of scientific development.
