In 2010, on the basis of the center at the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science, a subdivision “Educational and Research Center for Information and Communication Technologies NETCRAKER - Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” was created.
The center enrolls students in two groups per year. As part of the scientific work, together with the company's employees, research is conducted in such areas as Impact Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Service Quality Management, Network Performance Management, Cloud computing, etc.

The program of additional training of students at the courses at the ESC is aimed at training specialists in the development of enterprise-level web applications and includes: Core Java, Java Enterprise Edition, Spring Framework, Oracle SQL.

Students study at the ERC free of charge. Students are selected from among students of 3-5 courses of the university on a competitive basis based on the results of the interview. The training is carried out in the students' free time. At the final stage, students take part in a team-based training project, which they carry out under the guidance of company employees, and which is a complete simulation of the main stages of design, development and implementation of OSS system modules on real projects.

Successful students of the ERC are given the opportunity to be employed in the Kyiv office of NetCracker with the continuation of in-depth study of information and telecommunications technologies on real projects on a part-time basis.

In their senior years, students successfully combine their studies and research with career and professional growth and experience in the company's centers around the world. Over 900 students have been enrolled for additional training since the center's inception.
