In June, on Volodymyr Boiko’s birthday, a memorial plaque in his honor was unveiled in Building 18 of the FIOT at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

It was here that the heroic Polytechnic student, a graduate of the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Computer Science and Computer Engineering, studied.

☑️ Back in 2014, Volodymyr stood up to defend Ukraine. Later, he chose a career path in IT and computer engineering—he enrolled at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and continued his studies as a part-time student.

📜 With the outbreak of full-scale war, he returned to the military. A senior soldier of the 119th Brigade, Volodymyr Boiko was killed on August 30, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the Pokrovsk direction near Karlivka.

😢The Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has already lost over 130 members of its community—students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Behind each of these names lies a life given for Ukraine.

May Volodymyr Boiko’s memory live on.
🇺🇦 Eternal honor to the Heroes!
