KPI took part in the international conference "Anti-Corruption Education: International Experience and Development Prospects in Kazakhstan"
The authorized person for the prevention and detection of corruption, associate professor of the Department of Management Theory and Practice Yana Tsymbalenko shared her experience in raising anti-corruption awareness among young people and introducing relevant educational activities in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and presented the elective discipline "Integrity and Anti-Corruption" introduced in the educational program of the first level of higher education. On the basis of this discipline, it is planned to develop and implement the module "Anti-Corruption" for all first-year students.
In general, the event discussed the development of anti-corruption standards and academic integrity in the higher education system.
The conference brought together about 100 delegates, including experts from the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, as well as university administrators and representatives of academia.
The conference was held in Almaty at NARXOZ University with the participation of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Program Office in Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Agency for Combating Corruption of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
