On the 10th of the February 2020, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the university took place.At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Academic Council M. Ilchenko presented awards of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. O. Kozlenko, the Head of the Cryogenic Engineering Laboratory of the Department of General and Theoretical Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, was awarded the Gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Y. Kyrychkov, Director of the Polytechnic Lyceum, was awarded the Vasyl Sukhomlynsky Badge.
The first issue on the agenda was the report of the Pro-rector for research Vitaliy Pasichnyk. Vitaliy provided generalized information about scientific and innovative activity, presented the results of the scientific activity and personal achievements of scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, informed about innovative activities of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and scientific and innovative activities of young people, the development of infrastructure that provides scientific and innovative activities, as well as announced the general results and tasks for 2020.
Also, the report of the Pro-Rector for Educational Work N. Seminska " Educational work on measuring the challenges of today" was considered. N. Seminska presented information on the updated structure of the Department of Educational Work, career guidance work, cooperation with the Junior Academy of Science of Ukraine. She also provided a scheme of the distribution of students by faculties/institutions, showed those students who receive an academic scholarship, provided information on academic mobility and presented the practical application of the algorithm of cooperation Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and employers.
Finally, competition issue and current affairs were considered, including the approval of regulations on the organization of educational activity, approval of delegates to the conference of the staff, changes in the organizational structure of departments, as well as the creation of an open innovation platform "TechnoHAB KPI". In addition, it was decided to award the title of " Honorary Doctor of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" to Tod Zarfos, Vice-President of the Boeing Engineering and Design Centre.
