The highly respected guest came to visit Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute last Friday. It was an extraordinary and authoritative Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Ukraine Yağmur Ahmet Güldere.
The Turkish diplomatist managed to walk through the territory of KPI during the short visit. He also visited our museum with the vice-principal of international relations and the Corresponding Member of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mykhailo Zghurovsky. In addition, he made a performance for the students and lecturers of KPI.
The speech of the representative of official Ankara was regarded to the partnership between the countries in many spheres, such as economics, culture and, of course, education. Particularly, Sir Ambassador paid attention to Ukraine having been a historical partner of Turkey and being one of the closest countries Turkey maintains friendly relations. Sir Yağmur Ahmet Güldere thanked for the opportunity to make a performance for students and he expressed his desire to cooperate henceforward and develop international relations.
After the speech, the students had an opportunity to put their questions to Sir Ambassador, and the citizens of the Republic of Turkey that are studying in KPI communicated with their compatriot separately.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute cooperates with Turkish partners actively in many areas. The relations in the sphere of nuclear technologies are being expanded, the projects in several specialties within the programs of MEVLANA and ERASMUS+ are being executed, the agreement with different universities, such as Middle-Eastern Technical University, Ankara University, Bilkent University, Gazi University and Akdeniz University was put. Besides, the aspects of of founding the Ukrainian-Turkish centre of cooperation in KPI, opening the Turkish language courses, expanding the exchange programs with the universities of the Republic of Turkey according to the national and European mobility programs are being taken into consideration.
