On March 11, 2019 the regular meeting of the academic council of the university took place.
The first question considered were results of the check of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute by the public auditor service. Head of the North division of State Audit Service Karabanov O.V. reported. The People's Deputy of Ukraine D.Y. Andrievsky and the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Y.M. Rashkevich took part in the discussion. Having heard and having discussed results of the check, The Academic Council took note of the published conclusion and decided that proceeding from the conclusion of the commission, corruption actions, abuses for the purpose of illegal enrichment in economic activity of the university and at the conclusion to it investment transactions were not revealed in Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Further the report of the first vice-rector Y.I. Yakymenko “Innovative motivational education - the requirement of time” was heard. Yurii Ivanovych noted that it is obligatory to provide the innovative component, use of modern forms and technologies of training and also form the motivation to its receiving; it is a priority task in today's conditions in addition to providing qualitative competitive education. The system of work pre-university preparation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was also presented, information about placement of information blocks on the websites of departments is provided and the opening of children's school of microelectronics “Lampa Kids” was announced. Besides, components and stages of innovative training of specialists were defined, the importance of introduction of the mixed form of education was emphasized, the results of research work of students and distribution of estimates on the university was presented.
After that the first vice-rector Yu.I. Yakymenko presented the report on work of the department of administrative work. It contained the information about repair works, the material and technical resources of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the maintenance of material resources of the campus, levels of energy consumption of the university along with offering of the plan of works for 2019.
Elections of the rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was the following question, which was considered. The first vice-rector Yu.I. Yakymenko and the acting head of the trade union committee of employees M.O. Bezuglyi reported. Recommendations on numbers of delegates, organizing committee and election commission were provided.
In conclusion, the academic council considered competition questions and current affairs, in particular a question about improvement of organizational structure of divisions of the university, namely creation of the institute of aerospace technologies.
