On March 13, 2018, the National Atomic Energy Generating Company Energoatom, the State Agency for Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency, the Institute for Energy Saving and Energy Management, Igor Sikorsky KPI and the public organization “The High Council of Energy Drivers and Energy Managers” have signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Cooperation, which will increase energy efficiency of the company's production processes, as well as introduce a new standard of energy management.
Participation in the signing was given by the chairman of Energoatom Yuri Nedashkovskyi, Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency Sergiy Savchuk, Director of the IEE Sergiy Denisuk and Head of the Fundamental Organization Vadim Ulyda. Within the framework of the Memorandum, the parties will work on enhancing the energy efficiency of the NAEC “Energoatom” facilities, in particular by introducing energy management systems and modern energy-efficient technologies at all levels.
President of NAEC “Energoatom” Yuri NedashkovskyI stressed that the development and implementation of energy policy will ensure the introduction of economically feasible energy saving and energy efficiency measures in the company. Such activity should provide a number of organizational, financial and economic improvements and, above all, republication, which will ultimately increase the productivity and competitiveness of Energoatom, as well as strengthen the trustworthiness of the company by the international financial institutions.
Sergiy Denisyuk, Director of the Institute for Energy Saving and Energy Management of Igor Sikorsky KPI noted the importance of the NAEC “Energoatom” initiative to improve the energy efficiency of the company and assured that the institute would provide all necessary assistance in the development and implementation of energy efficiency measures.
