The International Exhibition "Education and Career - Student's Day 2017" was in the Ukrainian House with the support and participation of the Ministry of Education and Science and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine in April 6-8, 2017.

The jury of the exhibition competition in the nomination "International cooperation in the field of education and science" awarded the highest award - "Grand Prix" of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. This award was awarded through the International Project implemented at the Faculty of Electronics (FEL) in the framework of the International European Program "TEMPUS: 543904-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-GR-TEMPUS-JPGR" in 2016. The main objective of the project is to promote the education of biomedical engineering through the creation of training biomedical laboratories, the implementation of the quality assurance and assessment system, the development of training materials.

Participating in the project are universities from seven EU countries and ten partner countries, including: the Free University of Brussels (Belgium), the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Alma Mater  Studiorum - University of Bologna (Italy), 3Ahidno-Pomeranian Technological University (Szczecin, Poland), University of Medicine and Pharmacy Yasi of Grigore Popa (Romania), Technical University of Varna (Bulgaria) and others.

We present the results of the authors' performance with the University of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute project within the framework of the TEMPUS International Program in 2016:

  • the manual "Electronic methods and means of biomedical measurements" (authors A.T.Orlov, V.M.Spivak, S.K.Meshchaninov) for the publication and use by the universities of the partner countries of the international program "TEMPUS" has been developed at the university at teaching disciplines of biomedical directions of studying. The aim of the manual is the introduction of readers into the problems and the analysis of the current state of biomedical measurements, analysis of electronic methods and means of biometrics, obtaining modern perspective elements, devices and systems, and the creation on their basis of modern electronic means for biomedical measurements. An essential novelty of the manual is the development of training material on Nano sensory systems and sensors.
  • a set of laboratory works for specialty 163 "Biomedical engineering" and specialization "Physical and biomedical electronics" was created. Thanks to the modular construction (variable sensors and data acquisition devices) and the versatile DOSLID software with minimal configuration the complex allows carrying out laboratory works in universities from various credit modules such as "Biomedical measurements", "Electronic sensors and biochips", "Digital signal processing" etc. In the simplified configuration, the laboratory complex can be used in schools and educational institutions of 1-2 levels of accreditation while teaching the disciplines "Biology", "Fundamentals of life safety", etc.

The authors of the International Project of Experts on FEL are: Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yu.I. Yakimenko (scientific supervisor), A.T. Orlov (responsible executor), V.M. Spivak, T.L. Volhov, and S.K Meshchaninov (performers).

V.M Spivak, associate professor of the department of sound engineering and information registration FEL
