On May 18-20, 2016, the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Computer Simulation in Chemistry, Technologies and Systems of Sustainable Development - CSCT-2016" took place on the basis of the Department of Cybernetics of Chemical Technology Processes of XTF. About 111 scientists (with 50 articles presented), representing Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Colombia and the United States participated. In Ukraine, this is the only conference devoted to the problems of using computer technologies in modern chemical and technological production operations.
The participants of the conference were congratulated by the vice-rector on scientific work of NTUU "KPI" Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M.Y. Ilchenko, president of the Ukrainian Technological Academy professor I.I.Polovnikov and the dean of the XTF professor I.M.Astrelin. The speakers noted that the conference continues the tradition of the scientific school of mathematical and computer modeling of chemical and technological processes and systems. The founder of the school was Doctor of Technical Sciences, proessor G.O.Statiukha. Professor of the NTU "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" M.А. Tseitlina, Head of the department of chemical engineering at NU "Lviv Polytechnic" professor V.M.Atamaniuk, professor of the NU "Lviv Polytechnic" Y.M.Humnytskyi, associate professor of the Department of Cybernetics of Chemical Technology Processes I.M.Dzhyhyrei presented their reports at the general session.
At the sectional meetings, the traditional platform of the conference devoted to the problems of using computer technologies in modern chemical and technological production operations turned into a convenient place for communication of scientists, developers of modeling systems, serious users of these software products, as well as students of the "Computer-aided technological processes and production" specialty. The conference was divided into the following main sections: computer support of production processes, computer simulation of chemical and technological and biochemical processes and systems, computer simulation in chemistry and computer methods of synthesis of new substances, computer simulation of environmental processes, sustainable development of regions, computer-information technologies in multi-tier higher education.
A collection of articless has been published on the basis of conference materials. It can be found on the website of the department.
