New academic year began, and with it a new season of events campus NTUU"KPI". September turned out to be a very active and intense.
Sailing expedition. This year, for the first time it was done sightseeing and sailing expedition on yachts "Dnipro wave". Twenty-seven students KPI and cadets of the Military School named after I.Bohun went to the three-day trip on the Dnieper. Four large crews have been sailing from Rzhyshchiv up to Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky. During the expedition, students learned the basics yacht management, acquired the tourist experience, visited historic sites. In particular, they visited a museum complex in the village Balyko-Schuchenko "Bukrinsky bridgehead" - the first crossing of the Dnieper bridgehead fall of 1943, they worshiped its heroes. The travelers visited also the church of the flooded village Husince, which for many years stood in the water, and now after the repair warmly welcomes tourists; Trahtemirovskiy reserve - the former Cossack capital, where Scythian settlement are preserved.
The expedition took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The crew consisted of young people - very different in age and interests, but the trip was a good opportunity to learn how to work in a team, be hardy, overcome difficulties, find a way out of difficult situations and help those who are close by. Yacht captains conducted master classes for managing yachts. We spent the night in tents. Food was cooked on a fire. There were evenings with singing with a guitar, entertainements, competitions, and in the morning - again on the water. According to the participants, the first sailing expedition organized campus NTUU"KPI" - turned out well.
A quest for freshmen. Tour-quest "Legends of the big city" was organized for campus freshmen. Within a few weeks of study, students have already become familiar with the KPI, but the city - is unlikely. Therefore Campus arranged for them a little fun tour of the city. The students visited the St. Michael, St. Sophia, Kontraktovaya, at the Independence Square. During the tour they performed small-scale social and recreational tasks - missions. This created a good mood, encouraged the command cohesion, taught to communicate with the citizens. The challenge for the team were: to learn from locals and make your own list of "What do I need to see in Kiev?", to give children balloons, to arrange patriotic body art on Independence square and to create with the help of passers-by the phrase "I love KPI" (participants and passers- were lined in a certain way, and formed a "live" case). The quest was attended by 14 teams, it's almost 140 participants.
Social workers and curators-undergraduates accompanied the freshmen on the route. Sunny weather and good mood contributed to the fact, that the route was passed rather quickly - about 2 hours. Also, students made pictures of many Kyiv monuments, so the event can be considered a "first start". Two teams, team hostels №3 and №8 and the team dorm №6 were the first, third place was given to the team dorm №19. The winners received their first awards and trophies, and even gifts from the partners of the event.
The plans of the campus NTUU"KPI" include a lot of different activities that attract young people to take an active and positive position in the student life.
