Intense in athletic achievements 2012-2013 years had the orienteering sportsmen of our university. Team of NTUU"KPI" performed well and won II place in the championship of Ukraine among universities, which took place in Kiev. O.Fedorova (FMM) K.Schukin (IASA) R.Nikolayenko (FICT) O.Uskov (PPI) I.Chernat (IME) M.Afanasyev (FEPEA) I.Kudrenko (IASA) P.Anikeytsev (IESEM), O.Irzhavskyy (IESEM), Yu.Ovdiyenko (FASS) A.Dryzhak (PPI) M.Tatsenko (FICT) gained the points for our university. In the individual competition of targeting long dystan ¬ tions Yelena Fedorova (FMM) I got a place and Konstantin Shchukin (IASA) has won three awards for I, II, III place.
The program of events includes orienteering relatively youthful appearance Rogaining - orienteering to overcome the distance in 24 hours. The map indicated many checkpoints (CP), and athletes alone by choice plan number kp that the team can overcome a day. Following the qualifying events of the years 2012-13 National team of Ukraine Rogaining included graduate student FBMI Elena Dotsenko. In January 2013 Spain's European Championship Rogaining, breaking more than a dozen kilometers of mountains, Elena Dotsenko paired with Helen Costin won II place and became a two-time silver medalist in the 2010 and 2013.
Members of the national team of the University Orienteering participate in many competitions in other sports. Student IEE Paul Anikeytsev this season I won a place in the championship of Ukraine (Simferopol) and III place in the European Championship (Moldova) with direction finding. Student Elena Fedorova won awards in athletics, taking place in the championship I Ukraine with mountain running 10 miles and second place in the championship with Ukraine running down the highway at 10 km. Also in March, she won the sprint and long distance races on the program Ukraine Championship Orienteering held in Kherson.
In August 2013 in Sofia took place deaflympic games. They are held once every 4 years and the participation of athletes allowed the deaf. Following the ratings and qualifying competition of the Olim ¬ Caspian team included students FIVT Ukraine Ruslana Nikolaenko, who became European medalist and world in the season of 2011-2012 orienteering among deaf athletes. He successfully delivered as part of relay teams, so relay team won second place in Ukraine.
Mikhail Afanasyev (FEPEA) was III champion in international competitions "Crimea Holidays" (Alushta) and won two awards in the team championship of Ukraine, held at the May Day celebrations in the village. Falcon (Crimea). He also repeatedly became winners of chem ¬ pionativ and championships in Kyiv among youths and juniors. Student course I HTF Alina Krymtseva in international competitions "Friendship Cup" and in the championship of Ukraine-round, which took place in September 2013 in the city of Uzhgorod, I got a place.
