On the 20th of November, 2013 at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine the meeting of the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Zhang Xiyun with the pro-rector, director of the Ukrainian- Chinese Center of NTUU "KPI " prof. S.I.Sydorenko, deputy director of the the Ukrainian-Chinese Center Ye.A.Ohorodnyk, director of the Science Park “Kyivska Polytechnika” Ya.I.Kolohryvov took place.
Prof. S.I.Sidorenko has familiarized the ambassador in detail with how the collaboration with the Chinese partners in educational, scientific and technical spheres develops. It includes the representative office of NTUU "KPI" in Business council "Ukraine-China", the Agreement with "The Association of Ukrainian-Chinese collaboration", which operates in Ukraine, Chinese-Ukrainian center of high technologies at Zhejiang University (which is a partner university of NTUU "KPI"), the international activity of Science Park “Kyivska Polytechnika” and created in structure of NTUU "KPI" Ukrainian-Chinese center, joint educational and scientific center of modern instrument-making with participation of the Beijing company of space optical-electronical technologies, a strong point of Science Park on the base of Liaoning electric project-engineering company "Lider", the common Chinese-Ukrainian educational and scientific center in structure of Shenyang aerospace university with participation of NTUU "KPI".
Prof. S.I.Sydorenko has also told about strategy of NTUU "KPI" in development of collaboration with PRC - "4 Principles Program" (joint research and innovative activities, joint educational activities, training of specialists for PRC, strengthening of the academic mobility and contacts in human terms), which attracted great interest from Chinese partners.
Also prof. S.I.Sydorenko has familiarized the ambassador of PRC with results of visit of NTUU "KPI" delegation to the Guangdong Province, which took place from October 25 to November 5, 2013 by the invitation of the CIS International science and technology cooperation union of the Guangdong Province. Signing of the Framework agreement on cooperation in the field of science, technics and education between National Hangzhou city government, the Guangdong Province and NTUU "KPI" became one of them.
The meeting was held in a warm atmosphere. Ambassador Zhang Xiyun highly appreciated the collaboration of "KPI with educational and scientific sphere of PRC, promised to continue to assist in the further steps of "KPI" in this area, including the implementation of the university’s initiative of the opening the Confucius Institute on the basis of FAX, or help to launch a Chinese language teaching programme for future engineers in another form.
Prof. S.I.Sydorenko has given the invitation to Mr. Zhang Xiyun from the rector M.Z. Zgurovsky to visit the University and deliver a speech to its students.
