During the visit to Japan the delegation of “KPI” visited Soka University (Tokyo), where the ceremony of awarding the rector of "KPI" M.Z. Zgurovsky with the highest honorary university award took its place – a diploma, gown and a badge for significant contributions to the development of cooperation between Japanese and Ukrainian educational and scientific institutions, strengthening ties between our countries.
Ukrainian guests were warmly greeted and welcomed by pupils and students, they even read Russian poetry of Lesya Ukrainka. Kyiv Polytechnic Institute students also had a meeting with the heads of Soka University, where they discussed issues of cooperation in education and science. Now the cooperation agreement between "KPI" and Soka University is being preparing.
The program of the delegation included cultural events aw well. Kyiv citizens visited the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum, which collected numerous art exhibits from all continents, great art collections of European masters, there were also paintings of Ukrainian artists. As a memory the Ukrainians presented the museum an engraving depicting KPI at early twentieth century.
Also Polytechnic Institute students visited the Min-On Concert Association, which deals, in particular, with the Ukrainian tour performers. There is a museum of musical instruments of XVI-XX centuries from around the world. All exhibits are active, they are not only discussed but also people demonstrate the sound, playing short compositions, so that the tour becomes a kind of a concert. Everyone looked curiously at the samples of mechanical keyboards that have a built-in mechanical devices and stand-alone set-top box compatible with different types of tools.
