Gold bar
A banker has hired an employee for temporal 7-day work. The banker planned to pay him one gold bar and to cut 1/7 of it every day. Unfortunately, they find out that the equipment can divide the bar only into three parts, and then it needs repair. Is it possible to cut the bar in such a way as to pay the worker like it has been agreed?
Logic Test
A lecturer in logic decided to give an unusual test. He formed his students in column one by one and put a black or white cap on everyone’s head. Starting from the last student, each of them is asked the colour of his cap. If the student gives the correct answer, he passes the test. Each student sees only the preceding students’ caps and hears the answers of the rest. As they had known about the task beforehand, the students made up the strategy which allowed all of them except for the last one to name the right colour of their caps. How did they manage to do this? It should be noted that they did not prompt each other.
