The Dengi magazine has prepared the university ranking for the fourteenth time. For evaluation, the leading Ukrainian universities split into six professional categories. There are six of them – humanitarian, technical, legal, economic, construction, and agricultural.
As usual, employers have the final decision. They are the ones who evaluate and determine the place of a university in the ranking. Employers could give grades to each of the higher education institutions (or offer their intermediate estimate). A minimum of “0” means that employers won't probably hire students from such an institution. Slightly higher is “2”. The mark indicates consent to employ if there are no other variants. Yet these workers will get a salary lower than the average market for this category of specialists. The rating compliers advised giving a “5” when an employer is ok with such a candidate and can pay a salary equal to the market average for this specialist category. Finally, the highest grade is “10”. In this case, an employer is ready to hire a graduate for a salary higher than the average market for this category of specialists.
The National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” has again taken first place in the university ranking by technical specialties in 2021. According to employers, the top five HEIs in the university ranking also includes the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, the Lviv Polytechnic National University, the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and the National Aviation University (Kyiv).
Our University is also at the top in two more categories: the second place in the university ranking by construction specialties. It is obvious that employers considered graduates connected with heat and power engineering and electrification facilities but not only them. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has taken fifth place in the university ranking by economic specialties.
