On October 18, 2017, at the Department of Chemical, Polymeric and Silicate Engineering (CPSE) of the Engineering-Chemical Faculty of Igor Sikorsky KPI there was the opening of a training room equipped with the support of LLC Kostal Ukraine, a subsidiary of KOSTAL GROUP. This company is the world leader in manufacturing products for the automotive industry.
At the opening ceremony a delegation from the company headed by General Director of LLC "Kostal Ukraine" Radoslav Shkup, as well as media representatives from the city of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky, where the production facilities of the enterprise are located. The guests were met by the dean of the ECF Yevhen Panov, the head of the Department of CPSE Volodymyr Sivetskii, the teachers and students of the department, which took place in the production and pre-diploma practice at the enterprise.
Heads of the company and the faculty held a solemn opening of the branded nameplate and cut the ribbon at the entrance to the audience. The company equipped the audience with visual educational materials, stands, modern teaching materials, samples of products and equipment that they use in the production process of the company and which is also a guide for students studying in the field of specialization.
This event is a logical development of cooperation between the company and the department of CPSE and within the framework of which excursions of teachers and students were organized to the enterprise, organization of various types of practice and paid internships on it, graduates' employment, retraining pupils of Pereyaslav to join to Igor Sikorsky KPI with the further prospects of building of a professional career on an innovative European-style manufacturing enterprise.
The Representatives of LLC "Kostal Ukraine" Radoslov Shkup and Vadim Derkach, as well as representatives of Igor Sikorsky KPI, Ye.M.Panov and V.I.Sivetskii mentioned in this speech about their cooperation and their hopes for the future expansion and deepening.The former graduates of the Department of CPME , Vadim Derkach and Illya Turchenko, who currently occupy the position of Chief Designer of the project - team leader for the design of switches and a design engineer, respectively, noted the high level of knowledge gained during their studies at the University. At the same time, they expressed their wish for the modernization and deepening of the content of the production and pre-diploma practice, as well as the topics of diploma work and the need to provide students with the opportunity to master modern engineering software and foreign languages. The Representatives of LLC "Kostal Ukraine" also handed the department annual unlimited licenses for the software product of the company Dassault Systems: CATIA V5 for using by students in the learning process.
