On September 9, 2013 the next meeting of the Academic council of university took place. It began with a greeting of the rector with new academic year and congratulations of heroes of the anniversary: head of the philosophy department, philosopher, the prof. B. V. Novikova, the head of the department of mechanical engineering, the doctor of technical sciences, the prof. Yu.V. Petrakov, the director of Institute of Education Quality Monitoring, the prof. V. V. Yasinsky, the head of the department of political science, sociology and social work of Doctor of Philosophy, the prof. L.M. Dimitrova, the dean of faculty of management and marketing the Doctor of technical sciences, the prof. O. A. Gavrish and the birthday man - the head of the department of design automation of energy processes and systems the Doctor of technical sciences, the prof. S. A. Lukyanenko.
After that Michael Zaharovych handed in certificate of professor to Valery Valentinovich Kirik, the head of the department of electric networks and systems of the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automation.
The results of students' enrollment to NTUU "KPI" in 2013 were the main issue of the agenda. The presentation was made by the first rector Yuriy Yakimenko. He acquainted with the plan of students' enrollment for a state order, showed dynamics of reception over the last 5 years and gave the comparative characteristic of the contingent. Besides the results of students' enrollment on the course levels "expert" and "master" were declared.
Further Michael Zaharovych Zgurovsky informed about the changes in managerial personnel of the faculty of sociology and the law. Anatoly Anatolyevich Melnichenko instead of Boris Vladimirovich Novikov was appointed the acting dean. The rector thanked to Boris Vladimirovich for successful and fruitful work as the dean of this faculty.
At the end competitive questions and current affairs were considered.
