The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS) has accredited three bachelor's degree programs at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and awarded them the European Quality Label for Engineering Education, EUR-ACE®:
🇺🇦🇩🇪 The team of the Department of Inorganic Substances Technology, Water Treatment and General Chemical Technology of the Faculty of Chemical Technology has been selected for the “Micro-Credentials as an Internationalisation Tool for Ukrainian Universities” programme under the DAAD programme framework.
♻️ PolyFuel, a project developed at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, took first place among 11 teams participating in the GreenChem Accelerator 2026. The project is a modular automated technology that converts mixed plastic waste into components for aviation and automotive gasoline, produces technical carbon, and can generate additional electricity.
Modern physics, experimental research, and fundamental science: members of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute community took part in an open dialogue with Steven Goldfarb, a French-American experimental particle physicist.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has launched the development of a unique research infrastructure for Ukraine called TRIUMPH (Ukrainian Translational Research Infrastructure for Medicine, Public Health and Innovations). The initiative was launched by the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, which has joined forces with leading research institutions, clinical centers, a pharmaceutical company, and a civil society organization.
To mark the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, a unique event took place: the reconstruction of a bell from the Tithe Church, which was lost in 1240. A key stage of this international project — acoustic modelling — was carried out by specialists from our faculty and the Department of Acoustic and Multimedia Electronic Systems.
⚙️ The AMSP Science Park hosted a workshop for more than 10 representatives of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, focusing on modern digital solutions for optimizing production, accelerating time to market, and scaling projects.
On July 30, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute officially set and registered a national record in the category "Longest Flight of a Ukrainian Nanosatellite in Space." The university's PolyITAN-1 nanosatellite, which has been successfully operating in low Earth orbit for more than 12 years, was entered into the National Register of Records of Ukraine. The achievement was officially certified by Vitalii Zorin, an expert of the National Register of Records of Ukraine.
If, as the saying goes, a theater begins with its coat rack, then one of the oldest laboratories at Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute begins with a spiral staircase. This is the Educational and Research Laboratory of Biopolymer Technology and Modification, where generations of students specializing in this field have studied and conducted research.
✅ This is one of the best results among Ukrainian higher education institutions participating in the Ministry's pilot project on project-based PhD education. Out of 137 submitted research projects, 79 were selected for funding, including seven projects from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the fields of machine learning, advanced materials, biotechnology, environmental safety, chemistry, physics, data science, and technologies supporting Ukraine's recovery and defense capabilities.
