Academic Council

At a meeting of the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Oleksandr Dmytrovych Mokhunko—a senior lecturer in the Department of Health and Sports Technologies (FBMI) and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war—was awarded the Honorary Distinction of the University’s Academic Council.

This year's traditional session of the teaching staff of Igor Sikorsky KPI, which took place on August 29, began with some delay. Of course, this was not due to its participants, who gathered on time in the hall of the Academic Council of the university, but due to the announcement of an air raid alert throughout Ukraine. The all-clear signal sounded about half an hour later, and only then did everything go according to plan.

The decision of the Academic Council of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of November 11, 2024 on the issue “On the Action Plan for the implementation of the principles of gender equality in the practice of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for 2024-2027” - in the context of the requirements of international and national regulations in this area.

On September 9, a scheduled meeting of the Academic Council of the University was held. This event marked the start of the new academic year and the beginning of the work of Kyiv Polytechnic to achieve the university's targets.

On April 1, 2024, a bust of Igor Sikorsky, the man whose name is immortalized in the name of the university, was unveiled in the Academic Council Hall.

☑️ Educational process

In 2023, Kyiv Polytechnic modernized the educational process in accordance with martial law. The main directions were: dual education, updating the list of specialties, and work to integrate into the European educational space.

The autumn semester has ended at Kyiv Polytechnic. According to the results of the academic performance rating, seven KPI students will receive an academic scholarship from the President of Ukraine and one student will receive a scholarship from the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Kyiv Polytechnic Charitable Foundation for Support of the Armed Forces, headed by Ihor Hryshko, Director of the Institute of MMI, was founded by the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on October 14, 2022. A year has passed.
