A recent study visit to the Brovary Factory of Boiler Equipment ARDENZ provided 14 students from the Institute of Atomic and Thermal Energy, ranging from first- to fourth-year undergraduates, with a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with industrial practice. The two-hour visit was organized by Associate Professors Nataliia Prytula and Artur Rachynskyi, together with Assistant Lecturer Inna Bednarska from the Department of Thermal and Alternative Energy.
Future engineers received valuable insights into metalworking technologies and the production of modern residential and industrial heating equipment from Anatolii Korzh, Director of the Brovary Factory of Boiler Equipment ARDENZ. He also shared his own professional journey in the field of thermal engineering and spoke about the challenges currently facing the company, as well as its future prospects.
Following a comprehensive safety briefing delivered by the company's occupational safety engineer, Oleksandr Serheiev, the students toured the design and engineering laboratories and several production workshops, where they observed the step-by-step manufacturing of components and assemblies on modern metalworking equipment. These parts are used in the production and assembly of Ardenz solid-fuel boilers, Navi gas boilers, and modular boiler plants designed to operate on various types of fuel, including solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels. The company manufactures manually loaded solid-fuel boilers as well as automated solid-fuel boilers with mechanical fuel-feeding systems, with capacities ranging from 100 kW to 25 MW. In addition, the enterprise produces complex metal structures, commercial equipment, and metal furniture.
In the photo: teachers and students of NN IATE at workDuring the discussion, the plant's director explained that the development of modern industrial heating equipment based on customers' individual technical specifications, as well as the production of its components and assemblies, is impossible without highly qualified specialists in laser cutting of metal along complex contours, CNC punch processing of metal parts, powder coating, and other advanced manufacturing technologies. New employees acquire practical engineering skills through mentorship provided by experienced engineers, enabling them to implement real engineering solutions in a production environment. The use of state-of-the-art imported manufacturing equipment creates broad opportunities for improving technological processes and ensures the production of high-quality products that meet the requirements of both domestic and international customers.
"Despite the challenging production conditions caused by the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, the company's management remains committed to expanding the business," Anatolii Korzh emphasized during the visit. "To achieve this, we need to attract young engineering professionals. This is not only a challenge for ARDENZ but also for the companies that are members of the Thermal Energy Cluster of Ukraine (TECU), which I currently have the honor of leading as President.
