At the end of last year, our university hosted the All-Ukrainian Creative Works Competition for the second time, dedicated to fostering a culture of integrity and combating corruption. This project, organized by the Authorized Officer for the Prevention and Detection of Corruption at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in collaboration with the Faculty of Sociology and Law, ran from October 10 to December 9, 2025, and was open to students from higher education institutions across Ukraine.

The competition aimed to promote the ideas of integrity, dignity, and ethical behavior, as well as to stimulate creative thinking among young people through various formats of work: from essays and videos to graphic design projects.

To ensure professional and impartial evaluation, a distinguished jury was formed comprising experts in the anti-corruption sector and the judiciary. Its members included Mykola Glotov, judge of the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court and jury chair, Yaroslav Voronizhsky, senior detective at NABU and Doctor of Philosophy in Law; Ihor Strohyi and Andriy Bitsyuk, judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court; and Alona Khilko, deputy head of the department and head of the educational work division at the NACP (Integrity Office). Entries were evaluated based on criteria of originality, substance, logical presentation, and relevance to the contest theme.

The results of the competition demonstrated its high level and relevance. Young people from various regions of Ukraine participated. Over 200 applications were submitted from universities across the country, reflecting the high level of interest among young people in the themes of integrity, responsibility, and active citizenship.

The winners in the category “Integrity in Education and Society” were Yelyzaveta Volik, Yaroslav Rindenko, Veronika Yarysheva, and Polina Repina—students at Zaporizhzhia National University, Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology.

In the category “Dignity as the Foundation of Personal Development”, the winners were Olga Ivanyuk and Olena Goda (Vinnytsia National Agrarian University, Faculty of Management and Law).

The winner in the category “Anti-Corruption: Challenges and Solutions” was Euphrosyne Luchko from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Faculty of Foreign Languages).

A special distinction was awarded to the student website on anti-corruption, developed by Dmytro Nosyk, a student at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The All-Ukrainian Creative Works Competition for Anti-Corruption Day demonstrated that students are ready to actively participate in building an honest and responsible society. The submitted works showcased their creativity, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of the importance of anti-corruption values.

Special thanks go to the administrations of higher education institutions whose students won the competition for supporting young people and facilitating their participation in initiatives aimed at upholding the principles of integrity.

Against the backdrop of nationwide activity, the participation of KPI students, unfortunately, was much more modest than expected. This state of affairs raises certain concerns and requires attention from academic departments and student organizations. Such initiatives are not only an opportunity to demonstrate creative potential but also a chance to be an active participant in the public dialogue on ethical standards and responsible behavior within the university and the country. We hope that in the future, the student community of Igor Sikorsky KPI will participate more actively in such projects, using these opportunities for professional, personal, and civic growth.
