Three days of events, more than 7,500 visitors, and countless opportunities to discover 🇯🇵 Japan up close — this was this year’s festival, organized by the Ukrainian-Japanese Center of Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
📜 Visitors enjoyed:
✔️ sumo featuring world-class athletes, as well as demonstrations of traditional martial arts;
✔️ workshops in ikebana, calligraphy, oshibana, sashiko embroidery, and the Japanese tea ceremony;
✔️ rakugo theater, traditional Japanese music, and Japanese cuisine;
✔️ open Japanese language classes and lectures on Japanese culture and business etiquette;
✔️ the “Thank You, Japan” exhibition, highlighting Japan’s comprehensive support for Ukraine.
🤝 The festival was held with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and with the participation of Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute’s international partners.
