The World Masters Games—for veteran athletes—were recently held in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The Ukrainian 65+ team participated in the soccer tournament, featuring Igor Mentukov, an employee of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) campus and a specialist and member of the university’s trade union committee. The Ukrainian soccer players won first place and were awarded gold medals. Ihor Oleksiyovych spoke to a correspondent from “Kyiv Polytechnic” about participating in the World Masters Games.

On June 5, the KPI Sports Complex stadium hosted the regular “Cup of the Unconquered” football tournament in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Four teams took part in the competition: “Polytechnic,” “ISZZI Team,” “210 OSHP” (team of the 210th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), and “Solomyanskyi District Police Team.”

Six teams took part in the competition:

🔹 Team of veterans;
🔹 team of the Security Department;
🔹 team of the trade union committee.

Four teams took part in the competition:

🔹 The team of the Security Department with the Solomenskyi District Police.

On September 29, a futsal tournament was held in remembrance of Vitalii Molchanov, the long-time chairman of the trade union committee of university employees, in the sports complex of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

The representative team of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute "Polytechnic" headed the list in the Kyiv Futsal Championship (League 2).

Kyiv Polytechnicians met on the football field to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Six teams competed for the championship cup. The team of the Department of Property and Social Affairs won.

Traditionally, in the first days of the new year in the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Sports Complex hosted two Christmas futsal tournaments.

On May 18, museums around the world celebrated their professional holiday - International Museum Day, a theme of which is set annually by ICOM - International Council of Museums and professional museum workers.

Every year, from May to October, the city championship of football among veterans teams is taking place in Kyiv (age rating is 45 years or more).
