A new phase of joint activities in the field of energy efficiency has begun—an inaugural meeting was held for participants in the educational and practical project, which is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine in partnership with the Danish Energy Agency within the framework of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership Program (UDEPP).

Igor Sikorsky KPI is represented by a team of experts:

— Olena Borychenko — Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Electrical Power Supply at the IEE Institute
— Anatolii Cherniavskyi — Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor, Director of the Center for Training Energy Managers
— Students of the Department of Electrical Power Supply at the IEE Institute: Dmytro Lenkov, Dmytro Pysarenko, Kateryna Kononenko, Ivan Kot, Kyrylo Cherniavskyi

Participation in the project resulted from a competitive selection among the best student initiatives presented as part of a nationwide competition to develop a concept for an energy efficiency information campaign for higher education institutions. The solutions developed will form the basis for further practical implementation.

During the meeting, a substantive discussion took place with Alona Shkrum, First Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine. Her vision of the role of youth in driving change, openness to innovative approaches, and support for new initiatives served as an important impetus for further work.

Ahead lies intensive work, acquiring new knowledge, analyzing practical case studies, and drawing on international experience, all of which will contribute to the implementation of effective changes in the field of university energy efficiency.

We are proud of our team and our involvement in the processes shaping Ukraine’s energy-efficient future. This is just the beginning.
