According to the Partnership Agreement between our university and Shenyang Aerospace University , from 14 to 23 December, 2013 the delegation of NTUU "KPI" teaching staff, formed on the basis of Faculty of Aircraft and Space Systems (FASS), including Assistant of the Rector V.I.Dmytrenko, Head of the Laboratory Y.M.Marynych, Associate Professor O.V.Prohorchuk and engineer L.V.Stetsyuk, visited China, where it took part in the opening of a joint Educational and Scientific Center NTUU "KPI " - SAU at Shenyang Aerospace University.
The Deputy Dean for Research work at FASS V.P.Zinchenko stated, that creation of such a structure would allow to combine resources and efforts to improve research on topical areas of science and technology. Thus , much attention will be given to personnel building - training of Masters and PhDs. Together with the Chinese party it is planned to provide publishing of scientific and methodical works under existing Chinese rules and legislation of Ukraine . In the framework of the Centre activity the Head of Laboratory Y.M. Marynych and Associate Professor O.V.Prohorchuk have already presented their ideas on joint projects with the creation of a new aircraft electric motors , unmanned aircraft development and training of operators, who will work with them. In addition, the matter was discussed about Humanities Cooperation between NTUU "KPI" and SAU - namely the foundation of Confucius Institute on the basis of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The head of this project, L.V. Stetsyuk, commented on the developments of our university.
All matters discussed during the visit are reflected in the Protocol , which was signed by the parties after the visit.
The Dean of FASS, Professor O.V.Zbrutsky is sure that in the near future as a result of implementation of joint scientific and technological developments the products of the Center next to the Chinese characters will print Ukrainian letters and next to the SAU symbol KPI logo will be placed.
During the discussion of the establishment of Confucius Institute the representative of the Government of Liaoning Province - Ms. Xiuli Zhang and Pro-Rector for International Links Shau Wan Qi expressed interest in its foundation and suggested further concrete steps towards a common project.
They noted that the popularization of Chinese culture , language, historical heritage in Ukraine , Europe , America and other parts of the world is one of priority areas of the state policy.
Meeting with Chinese colleagues was held in a friendly, business-like atmosphere with the mutual desire to do things that will bring benefits to our educational institutions and Ukrainian and Chinese nations in general.
