☑️ The National Technical Organization of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Societies of Poland 🇵🇱 honored university representatives with “Gold Badges of Honor” for their significant contribution to strengthening Ukrainian-Polish academic and engineering cooperation.
The awards were presented to:
🔷 Mykhailo Bezuglyi, First Vice Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) — for establishing and developing fruitful cooperation with the Warsaw University of Technology — Warsaw Polytechnic. Specifically, for organizing academic exchange programs between staff members of Kyiv and Warsaw Polytechnics, a summer camp for children of KPI employees, and the implementation of joint research projects and events with Polish universities. Among these is participation in the “ECIU4Ukraine vol. 2” program as part of the “Solidarni z Ukrainą” initiative.
🔷 Olena Akimova, Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Law — for strengthening the partnership between the university and leading academic and educational institutions in Poland, as well as for her effective work on a joint project with Polish universities and the “Perspektywy” Foundation — “Incubating Freedom for Ukraine.” The project aims to support Ukrainian women who have emigrated to European countries, particularly Poland, and to help them acquire IT skills.
🤝 These awards are yet another confirmation of Kyiv Polytechnic’s strong partnership with the Polish academic community, which is realized through international-level educational and scientific initiatives.
