Given the complex tense situation in Ukraine, many sporting events in 2014 were postponed to the second half of the year. Therefore, the sports autumn for students has become an ordeal for endurance and patience, but the fruitful exam. International events in Estonia, the championship of Ukraine among young people, the championship of Ukraine among the students in Sumy were very important. But the main thing was the final of Ukrainian Cup, which was held at the sports center NTUU "KPI".
Participation of our university sports aerobics team in the 8th Open Cup of Kohtla-Jarve (Estonia) from 22 to 28 October was planned, expected and staged in preparation for an important start in November this year. The competition was held among the eight European countries (Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Austria, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine) at the professional sports field (parquet) for athletes of all ages and levels of fitness. Ukrainian team regularly takes part in s 2-4 of such tournaments annually to gain experience athletes, judges and coaches. This year the national team of Ukraine included the students NTUU "KPI": Catherine Sachik, Marina Fateeva (FRE) and Daria Osipenko (FICT). Athletes carefully prepared and won second place in the program of group performances.
In general, coaches and athletes are happy with the results of participation in an international tournament. Moreover, they were able to communicate with the athletes and fans from other European countries and Russia, which supports Ukraine and together with us dream of a peaceful sky over Europe and the world. On the way from Kiev to the city of Kohtla-Jarve, thanks to a comfortable bus, which we use for several years, students have seen with their own eyes Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, and talked with citizens of other European countries, have heard different opinions about Europe and about our country. It should be noted, that there were in one bus young people from Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kiev.
After a short break, our team took part in the championship of Ukraine on sports aerobics among the top 19 student teams from universities in Ukraine, which was held in the sports complex of Sumy State Pedagogical University, 6-8 November 2014. The total number of participants, by the way, was more than 500 people.
The competition program consisted of aerobic gymnastics, command aerobics and strenfleks - 12 exercises on fitness.
In the team event students Zaporozhye won the first place, Sumy students took the second place, bronze winners were the team of Kiev.
Important tournaments, which was attended by our students were also Ukrainian championship among youth (age group 17-21 years) and the Ukrainian Cup final in sports aerobics, which took place in Kiev at indoor sports center NTUU "KPI" on the basketball court . It should be recalled that the sports aerobics in 1989 began to develop in Ukraine from that gym hall. By the time a new sport needed only parquet grounds and sound equipment for musical accompaniment performances. Therefore, the competition took place mostly on the wooden floor halls for sports games. And our basketball Hall Sports Centre NTUU "KPI" was necessary for aerobics and brought good fortune. Almost every year we held here the competition at the national level. There were different levels of the organization and conduct of such competitions, there were supporters and opponents of them in this hall, but eventually number of aides and well-wishers became more, so sports aerobics athletes across the country believe that this is their room and go to the NTUU "KPI" with a view to the best the results.
Thus, the Ukrainian Cup final - is the final event of the year, after which the rating is formed for each athlete, coach, team and region by specifically approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine (MMSU) form. The main competition on schedule MMSU are conducted strictly under the rules and orders of the minstry, with organizational and financial support from the government. But this year, due to serious state for our country, money for this tournament, unfortunately, have not been allocated.
However, despite all the difficulties, the Ukrainian Cup final in sports center of NTUU "KPI" was held, and the team of the city of Kiev, 85% of the total of which - Kiev polytechnics, won 1st place in the team competition.
In second place - the team of Zaporozhe region, on the third - the team of Sumy region.
