The first in the new academic year meeting of the trade union committee of employees of the NTUU "KPI" took place on September 19. The issues about the current situation in the trade union and university life (speaker V.I. Molchanov ), about preliminary results of the recreational campaign at the NTUU "KPI" (speaker O.I. Sheyko ) and about planning activities to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the union of the KPI were considered there.
The Chairman of the Trade Union V.I. Molchanov informed about the state of financing university expenses, difficulties in paying unprotected articles caused by the State Treasury delays. However, costs associated with the payment of salaries and established bonuses come fully and on time. The speaker pointed out that thanks to the common solution of the trade union and the administration, this summer they succeeded in paying the recreation costs not only for teachers and laboratory chiefs, but also for other staff of the University in the amount of salary rate and also bonuses as a compensation for the suffered losses by employees of the University in 2012, when the whole staff of the university went on unpaid leave that lasted 2 weeks. Also V.I. Molchanov informed about the acceptance of the trade union organization of employees and trade union organization of students of NTUU "KPI" to the Eurasian Association of the Trade Union Organizations of the Universities.
According to the results of the Commission on social insurance and recreation of the trade union, there was presented the information about the quantitative indicators of employees’ and their family members’ provision with recreational holiday packages. When it comes to the verification of the university recreation centres’ work, information is still being processed and the corresponding act is being prepared which after the consideration by the presidium will be transferred to the administration for taking actions.
At the meeting it was also decided to hold events to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the trade union organization of the University and to approve the appropriate budget. In conclusion, it was reported about the activities planned by governing bodies of the trade union to celebrate The Teacher’s Day.
