There are many opportunities for students to Express themselves: academic success, academic achievement, sporting success, creativity and social action. Among other things – the opportunity to compete against peers at University and national Olympiads and competitions, many of which takes place in NTUU "KPI.
Fifty years ago, students of polytechnics joked about difficult subjects: passed strength of materials – you can marry. The same story went on TBE and theoretical mechanics. To decide who is better learned in the course theory, more than fifty students of our University with FAX, FBM, ZB, TEP, IEE and MMI gathered at the University Olympics. For three hours they had to solve 6 problems of statics, kinematics and dynamics.
Third-year FAX Ekaterina Vidyakin says: "Several participants after a 10-minute viewing of tasks of decided not to bother and went to the Olympics. And the rest didn't give up. And I am among them. The rest managed to solve all problems. The results of the competition I took the third place. I want to say thanks to our teacher I. D.I.Ilichischiniy that has taught us to understand the theoretical mechanics and to apply their knowledge in practice".
The best result was shown: i place – A. Iocimas (FAX); II place – G.. (FAX) and P. Fedosenko (gr. MP-32). They also represented the CPI in the second round of competition, which in April took place in Kremenchuk them WELL. M. Ostrogradsky. Looking ahead – won the all-Ukrainian Olympiad in theoretical mechanics received the student of Alexei FAX Iocimas. It was a difficult test, and it has stood all the twists and turns brought the award in the CRPD. "I am proud of my colleague," said his classmate. G. and shared his impressions from the trip.
– Most memorable thing is not the course of events and tasks (they were really not easy), " said the student, and terrible living conditions. Although the organizers responsible attitude towards visitors: provided all necessary information and practical advice. The citizens were welcoming and friendly to non-resident. And the hostel, where we lived, not repaired, probably thirty years. In mid-April, the heating was not working, the room temperature did not differ from external, hot water was supplied by a schedule. The night was terrible daylight, on the morning felt swap drive. Yes, and it is not provided us food. So by doing a "mandatory program" – with tasks we coped well, not waited for the awards ceremony and other activities and returned to Kiev. The best impression will remain from communication with the participants of the Olympiad. We quickly became friends and still in contact.
