Shuliavka which is more than 100 years ago gave shelter NTUU "KPI", has a long and interesting history. It was first mentioned in chronicles in the twelfth century. It is not surprising, therefore, that it is associated with numerous Kiev stories and traditions.
Our city is beautiful at any time. But most of all visitors gathers here, apparently still in the spring, when the Kyiv white-pink chestnuts are blooming in April, because Kyiv is called the city of chestnuts.
One hundred years ago, on April 22, 1908 Ivan Efremov paleontologist outstanding scientist and science fiction writer was born. Somebody, however, mentioned this event a year ago, because the writer in his youth to find work added some years to his age.
