Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has become a refuge for students, teachers and their families who live in professors' houses on the university territory, as well as residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods. There are about ten well-fortified shelters in the buildings and dormitories of the university. People receive here not only food, but also medicines, and doctors and psychologists’ consultations.
