Volodymyr studied at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute during 1988-1994.
He took an active part in the Revolution of Dignity and Automaidan. He was among the first volunteers of the "Autobots" who resisted separatists in Mariupol. He fought in the Azov Battalion for about two months.
Subsequently, he began to design and test drones, and decipher aerial reconnaissance photographs. He involved his friends and united them in the group "Aero-reconnaissance".
On March 15, 2015, while installing special equipment on the front line, he tripped a mine near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.
Volodymyr Kochetkov-Sukach was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree posthumously.
