“KPI”, undoubtedly, is the best higher educational establishment of the country. The students of “KPI” are bright and talented youth, which achieves remarkable successes in studies and life. It’s wonderful when the students of our university are the best not only in science, but also in other fields of activity such as sport.
Swimming is considered to be one of the most glorious kinds of sport. Therefore it has a lot of adherents among youth. At our university there are a lot of sportsmen who participate in high-level competitions. The student of Faculty of Heat and Power Engineering Artemiy Orekhov (group TN-12) is the master of sport of Ukraine in swimming. His trainer is A.Dementyev. Artemiy is repeat prize-winner and the winner of the championships of Ukraine, international swimming competitions, open championships of Kiev and university games. This year the athlete became the two-time prize-winner of the Kiev universiade. These victories are results of great tension and systematic trainings.
Artemy also takes active part in university life. He is the finalist and prize winner of the 2nd season of the competition “KPI Has Talent”. He presented NTUU “KPI” at the first All-Ukrainian singing competition among the higher educational establishments “Bel Canto” where he became the finalist and achieve top twenty finishes of the strongest performers of all country.
Our students also made remarkable progress in archery. In November 2013 the All-Ukrainian competitions “Cup of Donbass” in which more than 150 athletes took part took place in Donetsk. Victor Bondarkov, the student of Faculty of Heat and Power Egineering from the group TR-11, who is the Candidate Master of Sports in archery, took the second place as a part of a national team of fitness and sports society “Ukraine”, having met members of the national team of Ukraine in the final.
Victor started go in for archery in 2011 in the training-centre of sports complex of KPI and one and half years later he hit a qualifying standard of Candidate Master of Sports and joined a select team of “KPI” and Kiev. He doesn’t stop on reached and continues to prepare for the next competitions and to obtain a rank of the master of sports. His trainer O.V.Dyakova has been preparing CMS (Candidate Master of Sports), MS (Master of Sports) and IMS (international master of sport) more than ten years, bringing up champions and winners not only in sports, but also in life. The Victor's motto is Confucius expression: “In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself”.
This year Anton Semenenko, the student of Faculty of Heat and Power Engineering from group ET-2, the repeat prize-winner and the winner of the championships of Ukraine on judo, international competitions, open championships of Kiev and universiades in boxing and Pankration, became the winner of the Open championship of Kiev in Pankration and the prize-winner of the Third festival of single combats of the “KPI” in boxing. Anton is the Candidate Master of Sports of Ukraine in judo. His trainer is D. Zapolsky.
As true KPI students, the boys are studying diligently and successfully, participate in the international conferences and conversaziones. They constantly win the first place, and as it is known, stability is an attribute of mastery. So, we wish them success in all their hobbies.
