Temporary regulations on the organization of educational process in NTUU "KPI": 4.2 The academic curriculum

The academic curriculum defines calendar terms of semesters (theoretical instructions and examination periods), practices, holidays on a particular educational program for every academic year, graduation projects/works and master's theses preparations, graduation certification of students. The table of summary budget of time (in weeks) is shown in the curriculum.

The academic curriculum is developed by the University academic office in different forms of training, terms of training and training programs and approved by the first vice-rector every year.

40 weeks of theoretical training (including examination periods) are usually scheduled for the academic year at the university. The precise duration of the theoretical training is defined by the peculiarities of a particular specialty each year.

The intramural educational process is generally organized by a semester system. The academic year consists of two examinations periods, each two weeks long.

All kinds of practices and camp gatherings are conducted beyond the terms of theoretical education (except pedagogical practices).

Vacations are set twice a year and take 8-11 weeks. Their dates are determined by the academic curriculum for each academic year.

Normative term of Bachelor intramural trainings is 4 years, and Master intramural ranges from 1 to 2 years depending on the specialty and educational program specialization and is determined by the appropriate standard of higher education.

In case of extramural (distance) education program, the standard period of Bachelor trainings can increase up to 20%.
