The meeting of the Academic Council of the KPI named after Igor Sikorsky was held on February 13, 2017.
At the beginning,the chairman, rector of the University of NAS of Ukraine M. Zgurovsky warmly welcomed anniversaries, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering prof. I.M.Astrelina and dean of the faculty of applied mathematics prof. I.A.Dychku.
The first item on the agenda was rector’s report about scientific work of academician M.U. Ilchenka Ukraine for 2016 "Research and innovation in terms of implementing the new legislation." Mihailo Uhimovich comprehensively described the work of scientists in difficult conditions last year. He drew particular attention to activities aimed at increasing public-transformational activity, scientists KPI named after Igor Sikorsky and university policy implementation for the presentation of research results publicly is available.
The next report ws about international activity corresponding member of NAS of Ukraine S.I.Sydorenka "Results of international activities in 2016 and tasks for 2017". Despite all the negative factors, the international activities of the University showed a positive trend. In particular, actively developing cooperation with international organizations and foreign companies.
Next Academic Council considered competitive business. According to the report head expert legal commission prof. Yu.F.Zinkovskoho decision to award President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, rector of Warsaw in Professor Jan Schmidt litehniky title "Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine" Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named Igor Sikorsky. "It supported the nomination for the State Prize of Ukraine education in 2017 of "Research and education Internet portal" Taras Shevchenko "and the inclusion of Authors L.S.Hloby and cycle work" computer a teaching complex "Electrical engineering and electronics" and the inclusion of Authors and U.I.Yakymenko L.D.Pysarenko. In addition, the Academic Council supported the nomination for obtaining the President of Ukraine Prizes several works of young scientists.
