Manufacturing practice begins
Soon a large number of academic groups of the Institute will go to the industrial practice. In November, the practice started for 15 groups, the vast majority of them - on the externship.
In December it will begin the practice of another 11 groups.
All groups are provided places for practice on the most advanced enterprises of our country. Sufficient to note such giants as GAZ of Molotov, HTZ, STZ, CTZ, VMS, Rostselmash, Novo-Kramatorsk Metallurgical Plant, Voroshilovgradsky Plant. October Revolution, Stalinogorsk, Bereznyakovskoe and Chernorechenskij mills, power plants and other advanced enterprises.
The task of each student - make the most of future practice to secure the acquired theoretical knowledge in the institute and to be aquatinted with the production.
All groups should promptly go to the place of practice, so as not to miss a single day. The premature departure of students from practice is inadmissible, as it was the case in past times and was severely condemned.
The departments must now do everything possible to ensure that every object of practice with the scientific leadership and prepare in the right amount practice programs.
Each student must receive before leaving for the externship clear diploma task.

Some of them do not think out the learned materials, could not distinguish important, significant, respond only to certain narrow issues.
On the practical lessons in physics it was devoted little time, making it difficult to check students' work on the theoretical material. The staff of the Department of Physics is now a detailed analysis of the results of examinations and outlines specific measures to decisively improve the audit and recovery success of each student.
Competition for the best hostel and the best room
According to the order of the director of the Institute Assoc. O.S.Pligunov it was declared the competition for the best hostel and best room in dormitories № 1, № 2, № 3.
The task of the competition is the further enhance cultural and living conditions of students and compliance model order in each dormitory.
For the winners of the competition directorate of the Institute has established 25 prizes for the best rooms and 1 prize for the best hostel.

To their services there are 26 academic buildings, 19 faculties, branches with day, evening and correspondence courses, library, where there are nearly 2 million books and journals in virtually all branches of knowledge, classrooms and laboratories with the latest equipment, sports and cultural facilities.

Young Polytechnic
"Young Polytechnic". Schools under that name operate in the departments of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, their students - high school students of Kiev schools. Most of them choose their future profession during class in "The young Polytechnic" and become students of the Kiev Polytechnic.
Pupils are involved in various forms of work. For eighth graders twice a month, classes on the main sections of Inorganic Chemistry are carried out. They are conducted by students FCT Andrey Lyubimov and Irena Kosova. Pupils of 9-10 classes enthusiastically perform scientific work in the departments of faculties. By the way, the most interesting works were awarded with diplomas at the scientific conference of the October district. Recently the issue of school "Young Polytechnic". Interesting abstracts and reports on research conducted by scientists who faculties, students prepared. The best of them were awarded diplomas KPI.
