Creating a digital testing ground for AI solutions in healthcare
In 2022, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, together with the University Medical Center Utrecht and other international partners, launched the innovAId project - "Enhancing the entrepreneurial innovation potential of higher education institutions in the field of artificial intelligence and data science in healthcare".
The project is funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology's Higher Education Innovation Capacity Development Initiative (EIT HEI Initiative) and will run until 2024.
Recently, Anton Popov, Associate Professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering at FEL and Ukrainian project manager, told representatives of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology how Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute managed to join innovAId, what the Ukrainian project team is currently working on, how the Russian military aggression has affected its work, and why the development of innovation, entrepreneurship and high technology in higher education in Ukraine is an extremely important task.
