Basketball is always a good performance, especially when women take part in it. That’s why it was decided by teaching staff and students’ representatives to hold the championship of street basketball among women’s teams of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute at the beginning of September.
At 19th September was a big festival of basketball at the sports complex of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute – the women tournament of streetball “3х3”. The idea of running such competitions belongs to Petro Kyrychok(The Director of Institute of Printing and Publishing). The students of VPI(Ruslana Strilets, Unis Al Sakaf, Witaliy Logvin) were helping in realization of a such idea. The main arbiter of competitions was Maryna Rachok(Master of Sports in basketball).
5 teams took part in the competition. As a result, the first place was won by InTeam team(the representatives of RTF, FBE, IASA, XTF), the 2nd place by FIOT’s team, the 3rd place by Golden state team( the representatives of VPI, IFF, XTF), the 4th by Dream Team( the representatives of VPI), and the 5th by "3х3" ( the representatives of VPI). Regardless of the result of a team, all participants got the prizes. Vita Scherbina also congratulated the participants and bestowed them the presents of sponsor of this competition(“Oschadbank”). Petro Kyrychok gave balls and backpacks from Ukrainian Basketball Federation to all teams.
We hope that these events will be held every year!
