In June 24, 2019, the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute held the regular meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman M. Z. Zghurovskyi congratulated the anniversary — Dean of the Welding Faculty, Professor Serhii Kostiantynovych Fomichov.
After that, the employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were awarded with Acknowledgements for their active work on the preparation of «International Training Week for Partner Universities with the help of Credit Mobility Erasmus + ".
The preparation for the new academic year was the main issue on the meeting. Everyone listened to the report of First Vice-Rector Yu.I. Yakymenko. Yurii Ivanovych announced the main tasks of the preparation of educational and methodological support, property complex, drew attention to the peculiarities of the development of educational and working plans, website contents of Departments of the University. It was also emphasized that from September 2019 all Departments would undergo the third stage of accreditation introspection.
Further, there were discussed the issues of competition and current affairs, including the issue of construction a monument on the territory of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to honor the graduate of the University, Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Lelechenko. In addition, the issue was heard about creation of Educational-Scientific Laboratory on conflict resolution and mediation.
