Landmark events for Ukrainian science took place in 2018: the 100th anniversary of NASU and the 100th birthday of outstanding scientist Borys Yevhenovych Paton – the president of NASU, the academician and the graduate of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The man is really concerned about state of the science in Ukraine, which almost knows what a deindustrialization is. Before celebrating he said in his interviews: «We risk to lose the intellectual potential which is really hard for us to hold». In another interview he underlined that the science has to be one of the most important things to our country.

The positive experience of the university’s activities. There was a series of events during the period of time from 2018 to the 120th anniversary of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The events gave an opportunity for people to become familiar with the positive experience of our long-term activity. Certainly, we can consider it as the appropriate basis for creating forward-looking model of domestic economy development.
