In September, 29, XVII International scientific and practical conference “Renewable power generation and energy efficiency in XXI century” started its work in NTUU “Igor Sikorsky KPI”
The second round of Ukrainian Student Olympiad on theoretical foundations of electrical engineering was held at the Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automation on 19May, 2016 in NTUU "KPI".
For the development of the energy efficient equipment for industry, FEA Associate Professor Sergei Alexandrovich is honored with the prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists on the basis of the submission of the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in Science and Technology.
Round-table meeting was dedicated to the development of homeland electric transport which was organized May 25 at NTUU «KPI». Participants were presentedwith a elecrobus which was made by consortiums members "Elektrobus Ukraine" and improvement has been continuing till our days.

27th of March, 2016 turned100 years old since the birth of outstanding scientist, academician of NAS of Ukraine, Professor Ivan M. Chizhenok, who had been the head of the Department of theoretical fundamentals of electrical engineering (tbee), NTUU "KPI" for 40 years. In this time, the academic department became supporting electrical department of Ukraine.
October 7, 2015 in NTUU "KPI" there was a presentation of the racing car class Formula SAE, which was designed and constructed by students NTUU "KPI" led by head of the integrated technology engineering department MMI Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor Vitalii Pasichnyk.
6 and 9 June 2015 students of "MaM (marketing and management) specialist", organized by ABB together with the Centre "CSR" at the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automation NTUU "KPI", successfully defended their projects.
