KPI has its own plane

On August 30 the airplane Yak-40 appeared at the site of Aviation and Space at the State Polytechnic Museum NTUU "KPI".

December 14 Ambassador of Japan Toichi Sakata donated to the State Polytechnic Museum at "KPI" Japanese model of space rocket "H-IIB".

Yangel Mikhail. Creator of nuclear missile shield

Michael Yangel was born October 25, 1911 in the village Zyryanova Nyzhnoilimskyy district of Irkutsk region in a large family. His parents - Kuzma Lavrentiyovych and Anna Pavlovna - had 12 children. Michael was the sixth child.

An unforgettable encounter with the living legend of the Soviet space program was held at the NTUU"KPI" on May 13. The cosmonaut Georgy Grechko visited Kiev Polytechnic Institute. He participated in the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, three times  flew into space.

Moon’s Globe: history research of the Earth’s sattelite

There is in the Department of Aviation and Space Museum at the State Polytechnic "KPI", which presents samples of model aviation and space technology, the exhibit, which seems to get here by accident. This is - a big (one and a half meters in diameter) globe of the Moon.

Helicopter Mi-2 in the technical museum in the open air

Helicopter Mi-2 has been installed at the site near the former hangar, which is now the Department of History of Aviation and Cosmonautics DPM. It is an exhibit of the technical museum in the open air NTUU "KPI". Opening took place June 15, 2009.
