A scientific-practical conference on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day was organized for government officials, law enforcement agencies and research institutions. The event will last from December 9 to 10. Yana Tsymbalenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Management at the Faculty of Sociology and Law, Commissioner for Prevention and Detection of Corruption in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, took part from our university.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss the Anti-Corruption Strategy of Ukraine for 2020-2024, draft amendments to the legislation. Participants will consider the recommendations of experts on the practical implementation of preventive anti-corruption measures.

More than 300 experts, including representatives of European countries, including the Head of the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine Antti Juhani Hartikainen, will share their experience in combating corruption and advise on training in the relevant specialization, taking into account the provisions of international law.

The conference organizers, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Academy of Internal Affairs, the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine, the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, and the Centre for Prevention and Combating Corruption, focused on the international dimension of state anti-corruption policy.

International Anti-Corruption Day was established by UN General Assembly Resolution A / 58/4 on 31 October 2003. On December 14, 2014, the UN Convention against Corruption was signed in the Mexican city of Merida, which obliges the acceding countries to fight corruption only on the basis of the law. According to the law, persecution is subject to: bribes, misappropriation of budgetary resources and money laundering.
