Football players of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took part in the tournament dedicated to the memory of the Hero of Ukraine, the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred Alexander Plekhanov. The competition was held on February 25 at the sports complex of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, the University, at the Faculty of Architecture of which Alexander Plekhanov studied.
The tournament was attended by 4 teams: last year's winner - the team of Boris Grinchenko Kiev University, the hosts - students of Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture, the team of the Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" and the team of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute "Polytechnic".
The Polytechnic team played its first game with the team of Boris Grinchenko Kyiv University, which is one of the leaders of student competitions in Kyiv. In an intense struggle our guys defeated the opponent with 3:2. In another match the hosts of the tournament convincingly won the team of the Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" 8:0.
In the final match the team "Polytechnic" met with the team of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. Our team played with full dedication, but managed to score only one goal against five received. Therefore, the owner of the cup was the team of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, and "Polytechnic" was the second. Debutants from the team of the Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" defeated Boris Grinchenko Kiev University with a score of 4: 3 and took an honorable third place.
