At the beginning of October, the University hosted the Autumn Tennis tournament for students (see “KP” No. 30 of October, 25, 2018). Friendly matches were held in particular with the representatives of Ukrsibbank BNP Paribas Group: D. Uvarov, the head of the Department of support of the IT infrastructure, O. Nesterenko, the head of the Center for IT infrastructure maintenance, and leading specialists E.Urbanas, D.Shavalyuk, O Denisenko. Those were people in the bank team who have common topics for communicating with students of technical specialties, perhaps future colleagues, and who, moreover, share a passion for tennis.

Representatives of the bank were interested in the organization of physical education of youth at the university, the balance of academic classes and physical education classes. Students were interested in learning about the work of banks and the professional opportunities and perspectives for graduates of specialties related to information technologies, systems and financial analysis, and specialties that are not related to banking.

The labor market is complex and changing. Today's young people are interested in employment opportunities and career perspectives in their chosen specialty. Employers also work to provide companies with well-trained professionals, realizing that business success is heavily based on the professionalism of staff.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was ranked the 1st in 2018 ranking of Ukrainian universities, outperforming other Ukrainian higher education institutions in terms of scientific and pedagogical activity, quality of education, international recognition and an integral indicator of HEE activity. Therefore, the interest of companies to university graduates is understandable.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Career Development Center offers interested companies the opportunity to communicate about their programs to students through the website dnvr.kpi.ua, as well as organizes various activities so that students receive the most useful information. So the initiative of the teachers of the tennis department of the faculty of physical education in relation to the “tennis partnership” with Ukrsibbank BNP Paribas Group during the Autumn Tournament Department was supported and the students were given the opportunity not only to compete with each other, but also to meet with professional people and get first hand information about work in the banking sector.

Dmytro Uvarov says about the Bank's cooperation opportunities with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute: “I believe that the development of youth sports is one of the priority directions of our society's activity. For young people it is the future, and it depends on it, in which country we will all live. Personally, I am very pleased that Ukrsibbank actively supports the development of such relationships with talented student youth and creates conditions for sporting events, including tennis.

We also consider other opportunities for cooperation with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute within the framework of involving young people in the introduction of new technologies, the development of new products and services. We will be happy to welcome students and graduates of the institution to the friendly IT team of our bank, which today is very diverse and embraces different areas of development, from Cloud Infrastructure to Big Data (Big Data)”.
