This year, the Training and Innovation Center for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation (Center) was launched at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on the basis of the Institute of Postgraduate Education (IPE).
The course participants learned how to serve patients with prostheses, provide quality physical rehabilitation and psychological support to injured soldiers, and socialize them.
Twenty-one participants received certificates, including doctors, students and physiotherapists.
This is the third conference organized and held by the Department of Biosafety and Human Health, FBMI.
Due to the full-scale war with Russia and the increasing number of people in need of prosthetics and rehabilitation, Ukraine has a need to implement the best technologies in this field.
KPImedia together with the Ukrainian media #ShoTam created a video about a unique development, thanks to which thousands of wounded defenders will be able to walk and even run again!
"To take the best, remove the worst and make a perfect Ukrainian product!" - say future engineers from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of KPI.

The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation and will develop high-tech prosthesis jointly.
The innovative approach of the scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute will help bring regenerative medicine to a brand new level.
At the competition of startups of Innovative Projects Festival “Sikorsky Challenge” the project from FBMI “Balancing platform with reverse biological connection for rehabilitation at the stage of prosthesis” won the nomination “The best technological decision”.
The aim of the project “ Artificial knee joint prosthesis with adaptive properties” is to fill the urgent need - rehabilitation of people with affected limbs. Particularly, the improvement and development of a fundamentally new adaptive domestic knee joint prosthesis is the main goal.
On September, 19, 2017 Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute signed the agreement of cooperation
with Kyiv State Experimental Prosthetics-Orthopaedic Enterprise.
