October 23-24, 1914, the Tenth Scientific Conference "Modern Problems of Mechanical Engineering" was held in Gomel State Technical University of P.Y.Suhoy (GNTU). A delegation IME NTUU "KPI" consisting of the professor Machine Tools and Machine Design department Yu.M. Kuznyetsov, associate professor O.V.Lytvyn and graduate student of this department A.S. Demyanenko took part in the work of this conference. IME mechanics traditionally participate in this conference, which takes place every two years in accordance with the Partnership Agreement, cooperation and scientific exchange between GSTU of P.Y.Suhoy and NTUU "KPI". The agreement envisages joint research, participation in conferences, exchange of information and students. There is among the guests of the conference A.A. Zudilov, First Deputy Head of DB Affiliates "Company" Sukhoi "" Sukhoi Design Bureau ".
Professor Yu.M.Kuznyetsov delivered a plenary lecture "Genetic and morphological approach to the creation of anthropogenic systems on the example of machine tools." Scientists MMI made presentations in different sections as follows "Dynamics, durability and reliability of machines", "Modeling of processes, automation design and machine design." Conference reports will be published in the "Journal GNTU." It is issued the relevant certificate of participation in the conference signed by Rector for Research A.A.Boyko.
Based on point agreement on cooperation of universities, which includes consideration and review of completed dissertations bilaterally, it was conducted the testing of PhD thesis "The control system of spatial position of the machine tool with mechanisms of parallel structure" 3rd year graduate student of the Department Machine Tools and Machine Design NTUU "KPI" A.S.Demyanenko (advisor prof. V.B.Strutynskyy).
In May 2014, teachers and graduate students of faculty of the Department of designing tools and machines took part in the XIV International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists' Research and development in engineering, energy management, "which also took place in GNTU of P.Y.Suhoy.
There were more than 100 reports during the conference from academic, university, research institutions and enterprises of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. Issues, relating to the dynamics, reliability and durability of vehicles, including aircraft simulation processes of deformation and fracture of heterogeneous elements, materials processing, development control devices, monitoring and diagnostics of machines, fatigue testing and so on, were addressed during the discussion.
They were meeting and discussions of cooperation issues with the Dean of the Faculty of engineering Ph.D., assistant professor H.V.Petryshyn, vice-rector for scientific work Assoc. Prof. A.A.Boyko, head of the department Machine Tools and Machine Design M.I.Myhaylov, Professor Belarus State University of Transport H.P.Tarikov.
