May 6 solemn meeting on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Great Victory took place at NTUU "KPI".
The participants of the Great Patriotic War - Kiev Polytechnic Institute Veterans, who gathered in the meeting room of the Academic Council, were warmly welcomed by the First Vice-Rector of NTUU "KPI" Academician of NAS of Ukraine Yuriy Yakymenko, chairman of the trade union of employees of the University Vitaliy Molchanov, head of the NGO "Veteran KPI" Yuri Nesterenko and student of sociology and law Wladyslawa Klish.
A minute's silence meeting participants commemorated the memory of 163 students, faculty and staff KPI that did not come back from the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, and those who died in the battle against fascism.
"We are happy that you are with us today. All of us - students, teachers, university staff - truly worship you and wish you good health and longevity "- Yuri Yakymenko addressed the veterans.
Pupils special school number 2 in Kyiv handed veterans small gifts made by their own hands.
On behalf of the participants officers and cadets of the Institute of Special Communication and Information Security of NTUU "KPI" laid flowers at the monument of students, teachers and workers of the KPI fallen in Great Patriotic War.
Celebrations were culminated by photo for the memory.
