A career fair called “A job for you – autumn 2013” was held at the NTUU "KPI" on November 7, 2013. This fair was organized by the Career Development Centre of the NTUU "KPI" and the Department for the educational work at the KPI. By the way, this is not the first event of this month aimed at resolving issues of recruiting prospective students and young professionals. The career fair is traditionally held on the KPI campus in the lobby of the academic building #18.
Many well-known Ukrainian companies and firms attended this career fair, among them were “Life :)”, “DataArt”, “Melexis”, “Materialise”, PJSC “ Kievenergoremont”, “Unilever”, “Softheme”, “ MTC”, “Kyivstar”, “Philip Morris Ukraine “, “ASCON”, “Ringoo”, LLC “Line automation”, “SUN InBev Ukraine” and many others. Participating in such events is a great opportunity for companies to introduce themselves as responsible employers and find professionals with good prospects because the majority of the attendants of this career fair were represented by young, active professionals, students and alumni interested in getting their first professional experience.
During the career fair, which was visited by students of almost all faculties and institutes of the KPI, you had the opportunity to learn about activities of presented companies and organizations, get information about available vacancies and open employment programs, get to know what potential employee should do, gain information about perspectives in career ladder, probations, practices and so on.
Even if not every student on this career fair has already decided what workplace and career to choose, such meetings have a positive effect, according to some responses from employers and job seekers.
